History
Josef “Sepp” Beerli laid the foundations of our sport shop before the Second World War. He was an internationally famous bob and skeleton athlete, who won gold and silver with Musy Pierre and Fritz Feierabend at the Winter Olympics of 1936.
In 1965, Sepp Beerli built a new house on the site of the former stables of the Engelberg Monastery. Unfortunately, he was not able to enjoy the new premises for very long, as he passed away on the 4th September 1967.
Maria Dörig took over the business from Josef Beerli, and founded Titlis-Sport AG in 1972. She later converted and extended the residential and business premises in the summer of 1995.
